Citizens’ Climate Lobby Meeting in Elmhurst

The Elmhurst Chapter of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) will meet on Saturday, January 12th at the Elmhurst Library from 11:30am-1:30pm. CCL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization empowering people to experience breakthroughs exercising their personal and political power. The Elmhurst chapter is just one of hundreds of chapters across the world, and several in DuPage, working to create the political will for a livable world.

Local CCL members scored a promising victory last fall. After a long campaign to get a climate change resolution on the ballot, voters in York and Lyons Townships both approved the resolution by more than 3/4 margin. Members are now working to make climate action a higher legislative priority at the state and national levels.
